Under the planning permission granted by Rushmoor Borough Council to George Wimpey to develop the North Lane site it was agreed that certain common parts of the development, such as the woodland area and communal grounds, including the parks, would remain under the private ownership of George Wimpey.
North Lane (Aldershot) Management Company Ltd, was established by George Wimpey to take on the overall management of the development once building work had been completed to be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all communal areas within the development.

*The responsibility of all public roads and footpaths have now been adopted by Hampshire County Council.
